I know right, they were already on the Equestrian flag but did not figure in the story. Hopefully, it will be eventually expanded. Other than that great episodes with great moments too numerous to list. Suffice to say every scene with Pinkie, Fluttershy or Dash were golden. Rarity had some good lines too. Not sure if AJ also broke 4th wall or if she was just talking to herself. And last but not least, Derpy kinda in the foreground.

you have to remember they were performing a play to the other ponies so when she broke the fourth wall she wasn't talking to the viewers like pinkie does but to the audience of ponies

I am shocked Pinkie Pie was the lead over Applejack only because Applejack does argue alot with Rarity and Rainbow Dash.
But the snide remarks from Applejack made me smile.
"I am double dazzeled!" new best line from Rarity.
And are my ears playing tricks or is Applejack's character's name Smart Cookie?
And Private Pansy, my love for Fluttershy has grown.

Wow, that was a fun one. Having Derpy wave to the crowd is a great way to say that she is apart of the show. It was good to learn of the past. The show doesn't have to be historically accurate, they just need to get the point across to the audience. Who knows where the Alicorns came in.

Epic history episode. Now we finally know how Pinkie Pie got her cutie mark.
There's fun to be had all around, with some of the most hilarious lines in the 2nd season.
I'm glad that the mane 6 were chosen to put on one of the most important plays with hardly any acting experience. No, really, I am.
Screw violence censorship! The Wendigos must burn for what they did.
All in all, not my favorite episode of the second season, but easily my 2nd or 3rd.

Not my usual reaction recap, but a summary this week. I thought this was actually a great episode. Its focus was the Mane 6 and they were playing other people, but had more than enough of themselves in their characters that it may as well have been them (except Pinkie. She's not really that mean). I have to say that the whole arguing causes all the problems for ponies thing sort of funny. I wish humanity was like that. War? It rains acid. Arguing? It gets hot/cold depending on where you are. It would be great! The song was really cute, but not super memorable. Overall, this was a great episode. 4/5 Star Placeholder til I get my main machine back on.
~D P.S. I've been without internet since the server maintenance on Thursday night/Friday morning. I have tried everything in my power to fix it but to no avail. I'm really getting desperate. I bought a new router (which I sort of needed anyway. Last one was like, 5 years old), i've reset it like a dozen times and tried messing with every configuration I could to get my desktop to work. Still nothing. It's not even connecting through an Ethernet cable. I'm seriously considering formatting the drive and starting with a clean copy of Windows 7, but that's a last ditch effort. I have a friend coming over in a while to see if he can help me out. Hopefully something comes out of this, because I am livid that I haven't been able to play all weekend. At the very least, I need this done before launch tomorrow night. I'm getting desperate. P.P.S. I'm not computer illiterate. I can fix just about every problem myself and tried things like switching to a static IP, having an open wireless network, all sorts of crazy things. I highly doubt it's a virus. This isn't a virus sort of MO. Not letting me open tabs or popping up stupid bullshit is a virus MO. I haven't discounted the possibility, but it's near the bottom of my list. |
