And video for those who missed it:
No more Rainbow Dash:
So I thought the episode was rather fun, though Rainbow Dash really was getting on my nerves. I enjoyed the twist at the end, even though it was predictable. Also, Rainbow Dash is now a Ghost.

I didn't have very high expectations going into this episode, so I wasn't too heartbroken when they weren't met.
Two Dash episodes in two weeks. One was really, really well done and the other...well, the other was this one.
They could have just had an Intervention and called it a day.
I wasn't sure who was under the mask at first, but once I saw the applebuck legs, I got suspicious. Then I saw the magic fix the dam, and it was Twilight's color of magic and when a winged version went by, I knew it had to be all of them having a part of it.
This was a filler episode, really. Here's hoping for more better episodes!

I really enjoyed seeing the masked mysterious mare. Reminded me of "The Shadow" and of course all the other vigilantes that like to operate at night. It was a good episode.

It was okay, but it felt like treading old ground. It was basically Boast Busters all over again, except without the hilariously over the top antics of the Great and Powerful Trixie. The Mare-Do-Well being all of Dash's friends was pretty clever though, even though I figured out what was going on during the carriage rescue.

While I enjoyed the episode, I would have to say it is my least favorite so far. It was pretty bland in entertainment value, even with all the 'action' scenes, and felt stale in story. I liked the return of Pinkie Sense, and the RD fan club (of course headed by Scootaloo) was awesome. Maybe my expectations are just too high now, and anything other than fresh and/or amazing aspects in the episodes falls short.

Good episode, but my feelings were pretty meh. I liked the action scenes and the Maredowell's costumes, but apart from that, the plot felt pretty stale.
Just like how I figured out rarity replaced Applejack back in episode 5, I figured out that it was all the other mane 6 acting as the Maredowell. I guess it was when she used magic to fixed the dam (with twilight's magic color, no less) and then flew away with wings, while losing the horn.
But the aesop of the episode was really screwed up, which grated on me most.
Here's how you separate your friends from your best friend: So you saved a whole bunch of people using your awesome talents. You're acclaimed as a hero, so naturally you revel in it a little. Sure, you get carried away a little, but you get results. - Normal friends would have a sit-down talk and explain how being too boastful is annoying for everyone else, and remind you of the other time you learned being a braggart drives others away from you. - Real friends decide to show you up in every way possible, actually cheating to outdo all the things you can do. This will burst your ego (which they have seen can be rather delicate), and make you feel useless. After driving you to the breaking point, they would explain why they were decieving you this whole time, and expect you all to laugh it off, not even considering that you might be upset for being lied to.

gonna have to agree with the poptard on this one Rainbow helped people because she was around and wanted to. At first she didn't expect recognition for her deeds but then people started cheering for her which got her boasting then her friends start going around as mare do well to out do her to teach her a lesson yet they laugh in her face because shes jelous of "mare do well" out shinning her it seems to me that the twilight and the rest of the group are the ones in the wrong. Taking away something Rainbow enjoys which isnt causing any harm to anyone infact it helps the community for a little praise from her already exsistant fan club? Which I don't remember Rainbow asking for a parade in the middle of town for her heroic deeds just independent photoshoots with fans unlike the "mare do well" got. asking someone to be humble about their actions and then going to a huge rally for your deeds after stealing it from someone else is kinda hipocritical not to mention twilight boasted about her dam repair spell right before they all laugh at Rainbow for being jelous. their horrible friends in this episode Rainbow seems like the only one who was in the right even if a little cocky and boastful she still helped because it was the right thing to do not to teach her friend a lesson or completly for fame

In World War One, Rene Fonch was the top ace early on. He was, however, very arrogant and shamelessly self-promoting. Shortly after. Georges Guynemer, an unknown newcomer, rapidly gained kills, completely eclipsing Fonch in the public eye. He was know primarily by a name given to him by the Prime Minister, "The Winged Sword of France,"

... erm, what? I know it mirrors the plot of this episode, but I doubt the writers were thinking of this when jotting ideas down on their notepads.

I liked this one though I think it should have came later in the season. I called it when the mare saved the wagon but the episode got me with the dam until I saw the wings then it clicked in. Did anyone see Ditzy in this one? I didn't get to look too hard this time.
By the way Rainbow Dash got bitch slapped by Granny Smith, I laughed.
