| Since TOR is an MMO, there's no saving before an important choice. Once you've made your choice, the outcome stays with your character.
I'm really excited about this, and can't wait to see what kind of choices are presented when our characters are ready to advance to the next specialization. |

| That's true, not sure why I hadn't thought about that before.
In KOTOR I would save before a certain dialogue to make sure I would get it 'how I wanted' ( after several blind playthroughs )
It will be more interesting in that case, especially with how much deeper TOR will be with the options. On a related not, does any of you plan on trying to stick with a particular play style when starting out? Choosing all the evil dialogue options for example. |

| I always play pure light side in Bioware games. However, for TOR I think I am going to play it as realistically as I can. Since there is no going back to a previous save, I am very interested how my choices would pan out if I played as if it were actually me in my character's position. |

| I'm going to be on the dark side path, for my main at least. The evil side in bioware games have always made me laugh. I'm probably a bit on the demented side for finding acts of cruelty and pointless suffering hilarious but I can't help nor deny it. Which is opposite of what I'd do if it were actually me making those choices. I'm not very good at being mean in real life. So I decided my smuggler will take whatever opportunity I have to make the dark side choice, regardless of the consequences against me. |

| I've herd that there will be abilities that only Light/Dark siders can use, but might there be only abilities which only the Gray/Medium/Neutral characters can use? If not, I may be a total dick.
Then again, I think we smugglers may not get much of a choice in that matter.
Would you like to be...
a total jerk, but actually a nice guy (Jerk as an act, but nice when nopony is looking...not sure what to call this.) a neutral jerk (If I die, tell my wife I said, "Hello.") an evil jerk (You all saw it! That orphanage attacked me! It was self-defense!)
Smilies just gave me an idea...think I'm going to roll a smuggler with the largest afro possible.
It'll make my head look bigger, so maybe snipers will miss! Also, if I really could make an afro that large, it'd be funny to see how hats/helmets will fit me. |

| Afros are effective umbrellas! Absorbs lots of rain! Also effective as helmets ( To a degree ) Sources: Personal Experience d: My Smuggler wont have hair since I'm probly gonna be a Twilek. If Dark or Light side affects skills and other abilities directly enough. I can see Dark being more of an advantage to a smuggler. If I was genuinely good, I'd feel bad about kicking someone in the groin. If I was evil, I'd kick as hard as I can. So maybe Dark side increases damage for Groin kick and Light side decreases it? I can't really find any confirmed examples of this system. Regardless, Evil Jerk All the way! |

| I think my consular will be a gritty, no nonsense battle weary soldier who refuses to give up the fight or let anyone on his team get hurt. He's seen war, and the consequences, and knows that sometimes sacrifices must be made, but all other options should be explored first.
At least thats what I have right now, I'm sure some event in game will come up that will mess up that plan. |

I certainly hope so. The best choices in games never have truly 'right' answers. Like weighing the needs of the many against the rights of the few. |

But anyway, I just meant that sometimes a choice will come up that I want to do, but my character might not do, and I have to resist that. Because I'm bad about that. |

Ah, I won't have that problem. I'll just be being myself, if I were a snarky smuggler. Oh, btw... - Quote :

| Just going to be a stand up kind of guy that wants to make the universe a better place. If evil is done in the vicinity, he will respond. Also, jumping in front of bullets is fun. |

| I was thinking about this today, actually. When it comes to Star Wars games, I always do a Light Side playthrough first, as that's usually the more canonical path and ending (The Force Unleashed, Jedi Knight II, etc). I'll usually roll through with a Dark Side right after i'm done. It was a lot of fun in KOTOR. One of my favorite things to do is in the underwater base on Manaan with the guy in the locker: [Insert Lightsaber]. Fishy fishy that, friend. My favorite KOTOR playthrough is to be complete Light Side until the plot twist, then just go full tilt Dark Side. It changes what happens towards the end of the game. As far as TOR goes...i'm probably going to be Neutral with maybe a slight tilt towards the dark end of grey. I'm going to be a Consular and they're all about study and knowledge. Knowing a lot can be a heavy burden and can make anyone bitter. Some say that it's the stronger person who can take that knowledge and use it for good. Me? I say take that knowledge and be the person who gets things done even if it's not pretty or "moral". The needs of the many come before the needs of the individual. If one death will prevent even two, it's worth it. My philosophy in this game will probably be the same as at my job: I do the jobs that no one else wants to. ~D |

| I'm probably going to waver between what I think I might do, what I think Rarity might do, and what option amuses me the most. |

| I'm going full light side. Gotta stick with my Fluttershy sense! As for what moral alignment effects, I actually asked about it during a BioWare Q&A at PAX. They said something along the lines of this. - Quote :
- Moral alignment will mostly determine vanity items for the avatar. There are dark side and light side crystals that will be given to each player and will be awarded to the players depending on their alignment. Other than that, there won't be too many moral restricted items.

| I think BW has mentioned that they will also have Grey Jedi (Perfectly neutral) items, in line with the Light and Dark items |
