The following set of rules apply not only to forum behavior, but conduct exhibited by MLP Friendship is Magic guild members online. This encompasses Star Wars: The Old Republic and all guild resources.

Conduct:

It is expected that all members treat everyone with respect and understanding. Debating is perfectly fine, but never should escalate into an argument. Slandering others in any form is forbidden and will not be taken to lightly. Do not insult the beliefs, philosophies, interests, politics, race, or sex of another.

Bullying is an act that can be defined in many ways, and all forms of it are unacceptable in MLP Friendship is Magic. If a member requests another to stop with a distasteful joke please respect them and stop immediately. There will be consequences for those who do not stop once asked by the other member.

This community reflects not only the guild but the entire brony community. We want to reflect the bronies positively to all others, and to do so we must carry ourselves with the core ideas that My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic promotes. Love and tolerance to one another. We are all mature individuals and understand what this truly means, so please act appropriately.

Naming Policy:

The administrators reserve the right to edit a member's name that is taken offensive in any nature. Depending on the severity, we may ask that you change your name, or the administrators will delete your account all together.

Media:

Please do not post any videos, images, or links that contain pornographic, vulgar, or offensive material. We want this to be a safe for work site, so please avoid adulterated material all together.

Images larger than a 720 width and 650 height will be automatically re-sized to a thumbnail of those dimensions. If you would like to you may choose to re-size your own images manually. If you do not know how to re-size images, please consult this image re-sizing guide to learn how to make your content forum appropriate.

The trading of illegally obtained content is not permitted on these forums. Pirating is an illegal act that can result in punishment from the authorities. To help maintain the site's integrity, openly posting and trading such content is punishable by forum staff, and will result in strict progressive discipline by moderators.

Forum:

1. 0-1 month after release: don't talk about the game outside spoiler tags.
2. 1-3 months after release: first half is OK to talk about. Second half belongs inside spoiler tags.
3. 3-5 months after release: Everything except the ending is OK to talk about outside spoiler tags.
4. after 5 months the game can be discussed openly everywhere.


In-game / Mumble:

1. It's OK to talk about the game in all of it's glory AS LONG as you make sure everyone around have completed the part you want to discuss.
2. Don't make assumptions. Make sure that everyone who is in the channel has completed the part or doesn't care about it.
3. If someone has not yet reached that point: Either find another room/ chat to discuss it or don't discuss it at all.


Posting:

Please use the "Search" function at the top before creating a thread that you may believe to have already been posted. This especially goes for topics asking for help on a specific subject.

Avoid creating topics in all caps or summoning people to your thread. Make titles specific and sensible. "PLEASE COME HELP ME," or "MODS PLZ READ," doesn't help anyone. Threads that are not properly be named will be deleted.

Spamming is not allowed under any circumstance because it is typically pointless blabber. Please avoid double posting as well. Only Manes and Royal Guards reserve the privilege to double post when updating about guild information.

Blatant advertising of other websites is against forum policy unless it's the user's own content and has been approved by Fluttershy.

Self-bumping is not allowed in any board except the help boards and Trading Post. You may bump your topic every 24 hours in the help boards so people know that you still need assistance. In the Trading post you can bump your topic every 48 hours as long as it is still on-going. Necro-bumping is never permitted. If no one has posted in a week old thread, chances are, the conversation is long over.

Posts entirely consisting of BBcoded content (example, all text is bolded) are reserved for moderator and admin use only. Appropriate text colors are allowed, however.

Reporting Members:

If a member notices another breaking forum guidelines please use the noted "Report" function. If you feel a member requires a more direct action, please feel free to send a message to any of the Manes or Royal Guards, and it will be handled accordingly.

Discipline:

Depending on the infraction, the severity of consequence a member can receive is varied. The situation will be interpreted by the officer who is handling the event, and then proper punishment will be determined by them. If a member believes that they have been wrongfully penalized, or the disciplinary action was too strict for the infraction, they may appeal to the sitting Mane of the Enforcement position (currently Fluttershy) by sending them a private message outlining their statement. The Enforcement Mane will then take the course of action that they see fit.
