First episode with no Twilight Sparkle? I has a sad.

Probably not as good as the other episodes in the season so far, but still a very good episode, especially towards the end.

I'll need to go over the end again to see the sister pairs, but I'm pretty sure Ruby Punch was put a Berry Punch's sister and Sunny Days was put as Carrot Top's sister. The latter is interesting since it either shows that 2 part names aren't Given Name/Surname or that Carrot's last name is Days, since Sunny Days' name was mentioned in the show. Or perhaps it's Sunny Days Top but they couldn't fit it all in

Not a bad episode. It was solid, but not too much else. It was weird not having the other four manes in it. At least we know they'll be sticking to the whole "Twilight doesn't always have to be the one reporting in" thing established in episode three. This episode sort of made me dislike Rarity a little bit more than before. Mind you, I wasn't a fan of her until Dressed for Success, but since then she's been #3 on my list out of the manes (up from 5).

It was strange seeing Rarity and Sweetie Bells parents. Someone mentioned in the YouTube comments that they reminded them of Sam Witwicky's parents from the Tranformers films. I can't disagree with that. Certainly not a bad episode, but not exceptional either.

I enjoyed this one quite a bit, but the lack of the other four manes was a bit odd. It was nice seeing the other background and supporting ponies coming out though. Rarity's parents are nothing like I imagined, that's for sure! This episode seemed to get better as it went on in my opinion. At the beginning I was a little "eehhh" but by the end I was in full "daaaaw." It isn't the best one, but I wouldn't call it the worst either.

So far,one of the worst episodes of the season,still a great one. I just wish we would get a song already.

wasn't the best episode seen the ending coming from a long way confirmed it once I seen blue eyes walk out of the mud instead of green. this episode kinda made me hate Rarity even more. but at least they added their parents so we know Sweetie Belle doesn't live with Rarity she just visits from time to time. now we just need Scootaloo's parents to show up so everyone can stop writing about how she's an orphan.

This episode is the weakest episode of season two so far, but it still beats season one's average. I love the fact that Rarity's parents are nothing like her. I knew going into it that we would get some interesting new canon relationships out of this episode, and some were quite interesting. Dinky's sister alone is going to do quite a number on the fanon. The best part of the episode was that we finally got some individual character development for Sweetie Belle. Up until now we knew next to nothing about Sweetie Belle as an individual outside of the Cutie Mark Crusader Hivemind. I hope we get some for Scootaloo this season too.

Yay! Applejack and Applebloom togetherness! If it wasn't for Applebloom's rudeness not sure I would like this episode at all. Though the second time around I was laughing at Sweetie Belle's boredom as she pushes herself about. I was actually waiting for Rairty to say '....I Go!' because she really did remind me of Photo Finish for the most part. I GO!

Definitely the weakest episode of the season, but still better than most season 1 episodes. Not seeing Twilight was a bit odd, but it does tie in well with everypony having to write about friendship and not just Twilight. I also liked the characterization of Sweetie Belle. It's also refreshing to see the CMC (Or at least part of the CMC) doing things other than obsessing over their cutie marks. Also, Rarity's mother makes me think of some over-weight over-bearing mother that you find in a lot of cartoons. You know the ones, the ones who wear Hawaiian shirts and probably would fit better as some over-bearing aunt than a mother. Also, Liquid Toast. LIQUID TOAST! How do you fail so epically that when you make toast it turns to a soupy mess?

Well yeah, it was the worst of the season, some of the plot points seemed a bit shoe horned like the whole rarity realising Sweetie Belle was accidentely helping. But not much you can do with only 22 minutes. Although, I did feel like an idiot when I didn't realise it was Rarity all along until 1 second before the reveal. It was still funny enough. One part in it dispelled any fan speculation about Dinky being Derpy's daughter though.

Overall it was okay, nothing spectacular

Not dispelled, just made stranger: Sparkler is also Derpy's daughter, but born further in the past due to time travel.

Hey, if we have The Doctor, The Master, The Rani, Rose, Romana, and River Song, why not?

I thought it was a good episode and fits in nicely with the others so far. It did develop Sweetie Belle's character and seeing the parents was interesting. Yet again the ponies don't ask the other creatures to do something. All they had to do was ask the sheep. Baaah.

how come dinky can't be derpy's daughter? it was a sister event not mother and daughter and Sweetie Belle was racing with Applejack or so she thought couldn't Dinky have asked a family friend to race with her because she has no sister? I seen nothing in the episode to prove Dinky isn't Derpy's daughter.

AJ has a point, but I prefer to explain confusing things with Derpy through time travel, like how she can be 8 of the ponies on a Ferris Wheel, in a flashback, apparently the same age.

This was the first episode that I have watched out of both season one and two that I had to kind of force myself to really pay attention. The whole episode just felt off to me. I didn't really feel like I was watching the MLP I know and love, but a shrouded imposter of the show. Not really sure how to explain it better than that. Towards the end it picked up, and I came away pleased, but I still feel kind of jipped waiting two weeks for it.

My favorite part: "One. Day."

I loved this episode... I thought it was pretty hilarious how rarity acted, and I did sympathize with what was going on, being the younger brother of an older sister and a brother. I did some stuff to tick them off, so I could see where Rarity was coming from.

But it needed more Luna.
