Gather round, ye fillies and colts, for a tale of adventure and defiance of nature. A story of a pony, too awesome to let nature stand in the way of epicness.
'Twas dark outside, as a churning mass of clouds obscured Celestia's normally brilliant sun. Strong winds tore through the streets and felled the trees that dared to stand tall in the face of the storm's power. Everypony cowered in fear in their homes, not daring to set foot outside, with one exception.
This pony, who went by the name of Streak, had a task to complete, nature be damned! A decision had been made the day before, and Streak was not very good at waiting. Out the window, the storm raged as the pony offered it an arrogant smirk in reply.
"Let's do this."
With bits in hoof and sunglasses on, the pony strode bravely outside, fighting an onslaught of wind to reach the vehicle which was strong enough to break through the storm. Streak jumped it, put the keys in the ignition, and put hoof to floor, leaving a trail of smoking rainbow tracks behind. The windows were open and the pony's mane whipped 'round in the wind, only causing the smile on Streak's face to widen. The stereo blasted appropriate music as the vehicle rocketed towards the game store:

It cried out in pain and frustration as the pony laughed defiantly into the dark.
Into the parking lot the vehicle skidded, and out jumped Streak, still grinning like a dragon with a rare jewel. The shopkeeper looked up, startled as the door slammed open.
"M...my Celestia! How could you be here?! I didn't think you'd make it..."
The pony simply walked over to the counter and slammed the bits down.
"Of course I made it. Who the hell do you think I am?"
At that moment, Streak's shades became 20% cooler and more pointy, and a cape appeared, flowing off of Streak's back on the gusts of an unseen wind. Lightning struck outside as epic music suddenly began playing out of nowhere. The pony struck a pose and pointed to the heavens.
"Nothing could stop me from being here, not even this blasted storm! Now put me down for the collector's edition, you glorious bastard!"
The shopkeeper pony nodded with tears in his eyes. He couldn't hold back the epic emotions he felt for this bad ass.
"N....nothing could make me happier. Y...you are SO AWESOME
"
"Ha-HA! No need to make your face all smooshie for me, good shop-keep! Just make sure you keep that game warm and dry for me when it comes in. I'll be back for it, when the time has come and the stars have aligned correctly in the heavens, by Luna's grace."
Streak nodded once and turned sharply, subsequently flooring a nefarious thief that had been hiding in the shadows with a snap of the mane. The door opened and the cape flared out such that the awesome was too much for the simple shopkeeper to handle, so he exploded.
It was a good thing, then, that the heroic pony's aura had healing powers. As he came back to life, he caught a glimpse of the Pony of Legend driving off.
"R...rock on, pony. Rock....on."
The storm now bowed before its new master, creating a clear path back to Streak's home. A smile sprang to the pony's lips and the stereo responded by blasting a new song:

And that, my little ponies, is how you preorder a game.
*cough*
Ok fine...
I
may have exaggerated a little (considering this area only got the very edge of the storm), but I can still say that I went out to order it in a hurricane.
Just took me a little bit to decide on the CE rather than the regular release. A car repair had me questioning it for a little. I broke down and got it today, figuring waiting too long might cause me to miss out.
I also found a FS Fluttershy yesterday, so I'm in a good mood.
