There goes any hopes of even looking at the new Ops for me. The Ops looks really cool an dynamic, it's also supposed to have five encounters so I'm excited to see what the other two that they didn't show will be like.

Here's a few highlights from the patch notes.

Guarded by the force shortened by 1 second.
Buff to Focus tree (both advanced classes).
Nerf to Assault Specialist tree (mostly to Vanguards, a tiny bit to Commandos).
Buff to Tactics tree.

Daily and Black Hole Comms bursting out of every orifice.
Huge nerf to story mode EC.
Group finder drops you off where you left.

Modifiable offhands for all. (Barrels in vibroknives, lol!)
BOP and BOL items can be traded to people who could have looted them within 2 hours.
Full refunds on accidental purchases within 2 hours. (Yes, for comms too!)

Thirty minute respawn on Nightmare Pilgrim.

Warzone daily now requires 4 points.
Resolve grants longer immunity.
Kills determine ties in Voidstar.
Recruit gear Mk-2 completely replaces recruit gear.

Yay~! yay to all (well not so much the BH and EC story but as far as I know TFB Story is geared for Columi so it makes sense that they do the same with EC)

I had the issue lots of times, we would get through the first door faster but still lose somehow.

I'm happy with the itemization this time around. Granted, some of the Sage stats have interesting mash-ups, but at least not all the Field Tech armorings are Patron and not every Smuggler barrel is a patron.

LOL ye,

Warleader has 3x56

Supercommando has 3x56 and 1x60

Unlucky.

My guess is it is because Vanguards have no debuffs to armour like Guardians so that why they gave more accuracy to compensate, the problem then is that the Guardian one actually helps the DPS in the group while more accuracy just helps the Vanguard tank to deal more DPS by himself which isn't all that great.

Survivor (Shadow) has only got 2x56

Also I'd say Guardians and Shadows use more melee attacks than Vanguards use ranged but dunno.

People are talking about HM TFB on the TOR site and posting videos. I don't know about you guys, but I think we should just start on Hard Mode and ignore Story. From what I have been reading and what the Devs intended, we are well over-geared for Story.

All but 1 of the attacks in my rotation are tech attacks, for which accuracy is useless. Not just less useful than mitigation, literally useless. High Impact Bolt is the only one that could benefit, and it's at most the 4th highest source of my damage. It's almost as ridiculous as putting accuracy on sage gear.

Well Accuracy rating also increases tech accuracy.

I tend to use full auto a fair bit so I benefit a tiny bit.

Also don't forget about hammer shot lol.

But ye I'd rather Def, Shield or Abs rather Acc

I've never seen an Op boss resist one of my attacks, so tech accuracy is pointless. I myself have only 2% resist, and that's from the PvE set bonus. Even if an Op boss had a similar resistance, my 1% accuracy increase from my companion legacy already would cut that in half.

I never use full auto except for when I'm forced to be at range, like for the railshot droids. Its damage is just too low for Vanguards. Even hammer shot is used sparingly, since ammo is rarely an issue.

I also agree we should do SM first. If we are over geared for it, so what? We should save our Friday time slot for HM, and just throw together a SM during the week or something. There's not much sense in "dropping down" from HM because they have separate lockouts, so we would have to start completely over. I have a feeling that we would not be in the mood for that once we've burned ourselves out on HM.

Accuracy over 100 also reduces your targets' armour (by the same percentage) so you are hitting more regardless. As such it is actually more useful to a DPS.

It still shit though so some remodding will be required (considering how we always end up farming everything it should not be a massive issue)

Don't know how you get around not using HS I simply can't get 2 ammo per GCD even with Energy Blast and shilelding. Shield Cycler is once per 6 seconds and Energy blast once per 15 so I still need HS to pick up the slack.

Free explosive surges, pulse cannon (especially with reserve power cell), and general down time help a lot.
Even in fights where I don't move around at all to get free surges or down time, and I do have to use hammer shot to fill the gap, hammer shot still barely ranks above my pathetic ion cell in damage.

Here's compromise on the Op, Story on launch night/soon after 1.4 launch and save HM for Friday so we can chip at it over the weekend.

Also, Vanguard Shield Specialists stacking accuracy is just silly.

Ye defence not armour. I have actually had issues with my high threat attacks on Juggernaut not hitting but maybe once per fight or something.

Also the enhancements are

60end, 56acc, 13abs/def
48end, 60acc, 24pwr

They scream to be replaced, I wonder if it is a hidden money sink.
At least modding prices are going down again.

also how much actual accuracy rating do you need for 5%?

also how much actual accuracy rating do you need for 5%?

with about 230(?) i have 9%.
So somwhere around 100 I guess.



Think I'll also be changing from watchman to focus because it actually looks manageable now. My only problem with it was being with 0 focus and not able to use force sweep and at other times max focus with nothing to do because I got lucky on slash crits.

With Zen now spitting focus on you and singularity sweep being free it'll most likely be a ton of fun.
Sadly....I grinded for the Guardian War Hero 4 piece for nothing if the switch is permanent Very Happy

Yeah...yet another word in English that's not easy.

Writhing (said like Rye Thing, but blend the words together, so the 't' is soft sort of like at the end of tithe)
Present participle of writhe (Verb)
Verb:
1)Make continual twisting, squirming movements or contortions of the body.
2)Cause to move in such a way: "a snake writhing its body in a sinuous movement".

Apparently,the new heal skill of sage/soc can heal normally for ~3k hp, and crit ~6k hp (Rakata gear) which is pretty nice cheers
