Some of you who have been listening to me on Axon know that I am working on a video game: Ponyband, an ponified version of Angband (For people who play angband, it's a ponified version of FAAngband without the wilderness).

Because of how unfinished it is, I'm not ready to have it listed anywhere like Equestria Daily, Equestria Gaming, or angband.ook.cz

This is still very much in Beta, but by request, I'm putting it up

Some notes:
1. The first time you launch it, it will probably crash. I am aware of this and looking in to it. After it has launched the first time, this isn't an issue.
2. The game still identifies itself as First Age Angband - I haven't finished it yet
3. Several references to Middle Earth are still in there. Currently, the items are artifacts are untouched
4. The inventory screen is a little odd for non-humanoids. I'm looking in to it
5. The help files aren't updated to Ponyband yet. - FIXED
6. The graphics are wrong. I suggest not using them and sticking with ASCII. Until I can make my own tileset, they will at best break the feel and at worse give you misleading information (I.E. you think that is a scruffy dog, but it's actually an Ursa Major)

Since there aren't help files, a few notes on the races:
Quadrupeds with no horn can't equip rings or use Arcane Magic.
Quadrupeds with a horn can wear 1 ring
Alicorns are designed as a beginner race. They are deliberately overpowered compared to the other races.
Unicorns, Alicorns, and Baby Dragons have racial abilities accessible through 'U'

TODO:

There are some issues with the 8x12.fon font. I should replace it.
Random Pony names will occasionally be too long, forcing the game to quit
The game may crash the first time you launch it. Once it's been launched once, this never happens again unless you reinstall. This has been lass frequent as of late.

EDIT: Turns out skills weren't going down on character creation, just some characters were being created with heavy armor, which carries a to hit penalty

Rarity, your issue is fixed in the latest download

Updated with new downloads. The Character screen crashing issue is fixed. I strongly recommend redownloading to avoid crashes.

Buffalo Shamans no longer claim to be Hydras
Repeatable commands no longer hang the game
Fixed a bug where a monster could have 2 races
Generating dungeons with disconnected stairs is now off by default
New items types, like Apple, Socks, and Wizard Hats (These were actually in the last one, but the change wasn't documented)

Version 0.3.0 has been released!
