| So, as a senior in high school I have to come up with a quote to go under my picture in the annual. Being a brony I feel obligated to do something pony related. I am open to pony and non-pony related ideas, but this is what I have come up with.
-"Fluttershy isn't a tree Dashie!" -"I wish I was a tree." -"And then I said 'Oatmeal? Are you crazy?!'" -"This is my destiny? A rock!" -"Dear Princess Celestia..." -"Do you like MHMM bananas?" -"Yearbook without ponies in it? MOON'D."
This isn't due for awhile, so I have time to wait to see if season two has anything cool to say. I can also do instead of ponies a guild joke, Star Wars quote, or something else. I would like to keep it silly though, people put some awkwardly weird stuff in there usually, so I'd like to mix it up a bit. |

| I'm not saying don't do it, but this is the thing that people are going to look back on in 30 years and see. Part of me really wants you to do something pony for teh lulz and because it makes you happy now. Part of me (the older part) thinks you should maybe do something a little more...I don't know...something. We had a small paragraph under our pictures as seniors. Mine was all about being in the school band and my closest friends. I don't regret it because that was my life back then. It's not anymore, but like tattoos it represents what was important to me at the time and something that brought me great joy. Also, savor your senior year. It's going to be over before you know it and life after high school is terrifying. Even college isn't quite as much fun as people make it out to be. Take whatcha' can, give nothin' back! ~D |

| I'm not too serious about my senior year. I don't really care to do senior activities, school activities, or really do too much with it. I just see it as my last year of high school and another step on the educational ladder. If I did a pony quote though, I won't regret it. We only get a few word limit and I can't really express myself within such small limitations without sounding stupid or melodramatic. I'd rather do a pony one or silly one so I don't look back at my annual in 30 years and say "wow, that was really stupid of me to put." I won't say that about a good lulz!
I'm not trying to say my senior year means nothing to me, it's just that I'm not much of a high school kind of guy. The majority of my peers are in a different mindsets and attitudes that I frankly don't care to be around. I don't want to sound elitist here, but they nearly all seem very immature in one way or another. There really isn't anything about high school that I particularly enjoy other than hanging out with my close friends. I support my school, but I'm not a super fan. I wouldn't be going to football games and basketball games if it wasn't for band requiring it (pep band). High school just isn't my place. I'm not saying that college will be better because I won't know that for sure until I am in it, but I think it will improve in some ways at least. |

| College is awesome because you're on your own. Most of the time, the professors don't honestly care about you or even if you pass or fail. Sure, sleep in late. You may get lucky and you may not. It's a crap shoot, honestly. Some schools may have strict policies on things, but individual teachers may not. Rate My Professor is the best website ever and I never chose a class without going there first. It's 99% accurate and tells it like it is. ~D |

| Community College offers a lot of teachers that really do care about there students. Of course, the class size was usually less than 50. They would have office hours for their students to come in and ask questions. It is a very good tool to utilize. And yeah, it does depend on the teacher. Some will give credit for you just attending class (usually in the language classes) and others will want you to succeed, but not easily. Also, the people you encounter in College are usually pretty focused on what they have to do and don't form cliques as such. A pony quote sounds good, if it is only a few words that you have to work with. |

| I'd say go for either "I wish I was a tree" or "Do you like ... on second thought that might come across a little... gay... |

| To put my two cents into it. I had a mixed reaction with high school. I enjoyed it and I made some great friends there, and I kinda wish I had a better ability to remember things so that I could savour any kinds of memories from High School (Though I do recall a few things, I just have a better memory for academic things than my own life. I think, not entirely sure about that. But I recall more of what I learned in High School than what I did there). The problem I had with High School is that I not only A) Lost my hand during my junior year in a school-related accident (Not going into detail here. If you're morbidly curious hit me up on Steam, or try and catch me on Axon) but B) My school was filled with fanaticist idiots as well as having C) A faculty who for the most part were incompetent.
My general resentment towards my senior year mainly stems from two things. One, realizing that one person in my group of friends holds petty grudges over things that really shouldn't matter (For example, forgiving Hitler even though he slaughtered your family). Two, the faculty were extremely supportive to my condition of PTSD (Let's see you lose a hand and walk away smiling.)
I prefer college because I'm not necessarily forced to socialize as I was peer pressured to do in High School. And I also have a lot more freedom to do things I want to do now I'm in CC as opposed to when I was going to HS.
But enough of my rant, you forgot what could be a great quote. "This needs to be about 20% cooler" |

Everyone said I should be having the time of my life, but I didn't. I absolutely hated it. Hell, I even TRIED to get involved in stuff, but I only met people who I didn't particularly enjoy being around. Everyone has a different experience, I guess. |

| Well, being a fan of rainbow dash, I would suggest: this is gonna be soooo awesome! /)^ɛ^(\ (you have to do the face! : D ) Mainly for the lulz, and seeing everybody have a "wth is this guy on!?" face. If not, something funny, that kinda stuff is waaaaay too serious. mothers crying, teenagers pooping their pants in nervousness. Having something funny will help lighten the mood. |

| Damn, someone needs to draw me a picture of Fluttershy on a train and have it say "HERE COMES THE DERAIL" because almost everyone got off-topic and attempted to re-track the thread.
Any who, I would do a RD one, but there is a girl in my senior class who is a huge Dash fan, so I am pretty sure she is going to do something pony related. I should probably ask her so we don't write the same/similar thing. |

| I vote for OATMEAL, are you crazy?
That being said, I hated high school. Fluttershy, are you familiar with any other school districts in WA? I went to Everett High, and it is probably the worst school in the state in my completely biased opinion. I never had a senior quote, I never really did anything school sponsored like senior party or dances. In fact, I gave my parents my yearbooks to throw in storage because once I was out of it, I never wanted to think about high school again.
So here is my advice. Do whatever makes you happy. If throwing a pony quote in your senior quotes makes you happy now, do it. If you ever open it up down the line to look at it and reminisce, you can look at the pony quote and remember how much fun the series and fandom has brought you. In the long run, high school really doesn't matter, so if you can get joy from it now, do it. I guarantee you won't regret it. Plus, you could run into unexpected bronies.
Just my 2 credits. |

You could have done worse, you could have gone to Garfield! - WarlordSparkle wrote:

Just my 2 credits. Very well put. I need to get all my friends, non-bronies included, to put pony stuff so the yearbook is filled with love. |
