Just an odd thing I though of when looking at a discussion on the office forums.

Boba Fett isn't nearly as good as his popularity suggests. LEt's look at what he's done:

1. Premiered the the Star Wars Holiday Special
2. Watched Vader capture his bounty for him
3. Got defeated by a blind man (supposedly killed until that got an EU retcon)

Sad.

I've always thought this way about Boba, so I'm glad that I'm not the only one. If you think about it, it's a lot like the inexplicable popularity of background ponies. But then again, at least the background ponies aren't made of fail.

Now Gravy, calling him made of fail is a bit harsh. Granted it's fairly accurate, but harsh none the less. Perhaps you could be a little nicer and say 'Not made of Win' or 'Composed of Fail' or perhaps 'Not composed of win but rather constructed of fail'

Hell, in the current book series he's actually still a badass. He did have that "almost dying" thing going on for a while during the Legacy of the Force books, but he got over it. He's Mandalore now and there aint nothing that's gonna stop him. Hell, he's even ok with Han Solo. Ish.

Boba is badass in his own way really. He did cut his way out of the Sarlaac (in the books) and is chill with the Mandos. I don't know why we are talking about Boba Fett though. Bossk is at least 20% cooler than Boba.

Bossk may be cooler than Boba Fett, but no one can compare to IG-88. Yes, all 4 of the models got destroyed, but in their first 4 seconds of sentience they managed to slaughter about 20 scientists and technicians. The last one even managed to download himself into the second Death Star and would have been king of the galaxy if those damned rebels hadn't interfered again!

IG-88 is pretty boss I must say. Better than 4-LOM. Did 4-LOM ever do anything cool?

I think he got blown up by Dash Rendar. That's kind of it.
