| Just let everypony know, my computer froze last night during TF2 and now won't start up properly. I have been working on it, with advice from Twilight and a tech savoy friend, and have determined it is either the power supply unit (PSU) or the hard drive. I'm leaning towards hard drive failure at the moment, but you never know. I will still get on our guild's forums and related sites using a laptop, but I won't be able to play any games. The only computer strong enough in my house to run games was my computer, but seeing how it is dead I can't do squat. I plan on trying to fix it as soon as possible, and hopefully it is only a hard drive error.
That being said, as of right now the PAX event is still on, but if I discover more issues with my computer I may have to cancel in order to afford purchasing the necessary parts to fix it. I really don't want to call of the PAX event, but the cash I am donating for it can't be supplemented by TOR's release. I can't help run the guild if I can't even get in the game to start. Hopefully it won't ever come to that though.
Sorry for the inconvenience everyone! We still have another four lovely Manes who are available for gaming and more direct conversations though. I will also still be checking Star Ponies and my emails regularly, so I'll still be around. |

| Poor Butterscotch. I wish I could do more to help you. I'd be glad to donate to help you with the cost of fixing your computer. Unfortunately I'm broke ,-.-, But you have my support! Fix your computer, get better, and get back to playing video games until you break your computer again! |

| Well, the PAX event won't be cancelled no matter what appparently. I told my parents my hard drive is dead and they're like "Oh, we'll get you a new one. Just pick a good one." I'm just like... that's strange but I'm okay with this. Anyways, I'm going to try and get it fixed sometime next week, but if it turns out to be more than just the hard drive I may be out for a bit longer. |

| If you're looking for a decent HD, check woot.com . I got my desktop on deal there and it's pretty sweet. If you go to the Sellout section and do a search, they have HDs on sale every so often and maybe they'll still have a good deal. If not, I use TigerDirect.com They have SO many parts it's crazy! Plus, the user reviews are really good. You can sort by price range and manufacturer and other stuff like that. Have a great time at PAX and give the Classic Console Freeplay area a little love while you're there. ~D |

| That sucks, especially if it's the HD. Hopefully you had anything important backed up. I had to replace my laptop a little over a month ago, so I feel your pain.
On the plus side, a new HD and/or power supply are fairly inexpensive to replace these days and are pretty easy to swap out physically as well. Being in Redmond, I'm sure there are a bunch of local shops where you can pick up quality parts cheap if you don't want to order online.

| Got my new computer last night and I set it up today. Time to reinstall everything and see if I can't transfer a few files off of my old HDD. Wish me luck! |
