YEA!
Spoiler:
so much fanon has become canon Rainbow Dash is now Scootaloos unofficial sister and mentor. Luna can enter dreams. Scootaloo really is the chicken of the CMC even Sweetie Belle was more brave. There was so much in this episode that I loved and it caused my brain to go into overload I'll probably post a lot more after my 2nd viewing. So many things when I watched it a second time like on the first night RD tells Scoots to get firre wood and theres 3 sticks in the fire on the second night she brings back 3 sticks and they question her about it.. another is whos teddy bear is it thats in RD/Scoots tent? Sweetie Belle can apparently pull a lot. Also that moment where she gathers the sticks and screams/does the dance is so adorable!
Video when it comes! It's here!

The only reason Sweetie Belle was more "brave" was because her sister was there to comfort her. If you watch her and AB's reactions to both stories, they freak out at first, but then feel better when their sisters come to the rescue. The exact same thing happens in Scootaloo's final dream sequence. What she was really afraid of was being rejected by RD and having to fend for herself.
This is pretty much exactly the kind of episode the fans have been wanting for Scoots, with the obvious exception of no glimpse of a home or family. I would definitely call it a success considering it was written by a brand new writer (Corey Powell).

Not a bad episode at all. Scoots is my least favorite CMC, but they really did a lot for her this time and I liked it a lot.
And I know that everyone else will be thinking the same thing...but i'll say it anyway: A wild Luna appears!
While i'm not a Luna fan, she was actually very cool in this episode.
Also...no letter to Celestia? How odd.

Holy Luna that episode.
Spoiler:
First off, it was absolutely amazing to see that character development between the siblings and of course RD and Scoots. Episodes which feature character development or draw on and improve established character couplings are always my favourite. Great in particular to see references to Sisterhooves Social, which is my favourite S2 episode, for those exact reasons. Secondly, those ghost stories. Didn't hear much of them but the reactions to them by the CMC are fantastic. Then of course we get Scootaloo's nightmares. Very realistic phenomena and a haunting episode for any who have experienced such things. I would not want to see her reaction to the Gas Mask zombies of Doctor Who. Thirdly, the humour. Rarity's over-preparation for the camping and the revelation that Sweetie is pulling that cart are fantastically juxtaposed, although the over-preparation is more of a running joke that just keeps getting funnier. Also "Thank you, have a nice day!" is the best line to close off a ghost story turned heroic. Fourthly, that use of established canon. I mentioned it earlier, but there are more things I haven't included. Good to see Scootaloo's idolisation of RD and her Scooter return, as it is to see Sweetie Belle solo singing. Also "Oh it is so on!" from Rarity. Fifth, the adorableness. The adorable expressions were absolutely everywhere in this episode, but he ending and Scootaloo getting what she really wants absolutely takes the cake. Hopefully as a result both Pegasi will become more responsible as they look out for each other. Especially as this episode heavily implies that Scootaloo has no proper family to care for her; would she want RD to be the big sister if she already had such a relative in her family? I don't know, but it is possible either way. Sixth, Luna. Good to see Luna is now caring for her subjects and is now demonstrating her powers properly. Woohoo, Luna. Seventh, Rainbow lifting Scootaloo and helping her fly is by far the most adorable amd powerful thing I have ever seen in a television show. I never ever recall shedding a tear from such a moment - normally I cry whenever a character I have grown to love and adore dies - but this is one moment where I did. Very, very amazing scene.
Definitely the best episode of S3 by far, in my opinion. 9/10.

So honestly, I'm not the biggest fan of CMC episodes normally. Don't get me wrong they have a certain charm and some of the best OMG WTF moments of the series. But as a whole few stand out in a way other episodes do for me. This one however definitely rocked and rivals "Hearts and Hooves Day" for best CMC EVA!! (IMO of course) Like some of you pointed out, lots of great stuff in this episode and several references to prior ones as well.
Two things stood out in this one: - I'm a fan of Scotts not being able to fly. So the race at the end with Dash holding her up, freakin awesomely cute. - She's the Princess of the Night and the Guardian of Dreams... Nough Said. ALL HAIL LUNA!!! No Matter Her VA huh, just rewatched and saw it was Tabitha St. Germain in the credits... Sounded different to me

* Yeah Luna did sound off. I kinda liked the Luna Eclipsed voice too * +1 for Rarity, my least favorite pony. She was actually somewhat likeable (aside from making SB carry her crap) * Yay Scootaloo * Best S3 episode so far

I lost it at the "I am the princess of the night" line, and couldn't think of anything but the FiW song.

This was fun to watch. Scootaloo finally getting RD to be her big sister was a yes. The expressions by RD gave some hints as to her thoughts on Scootaloo trying to hide her fear. Also, headless horse was awesome!
Huzzah for Luna! It was great to see her again. "Lovers of the night, step in to the light!"

I still have no idea why people think Luna's voice was different. It sounded exactly the same to me.

I honestly don't know. It just felt different-ish? Might be because of lack of Royal Canterlot Voice
