Hello all you wonderful ponies. :p

Ever since I found about this guild I wanted to join, primarily because it combined two things I loved; ponies and sci-fi. (Also a nice community by the looks of it)

However, I am yet to buy the game, but hopefully I'll own it in the next few days or so. Then I just have to worry about downloading it.

Thing is, I live in Australia and if you didn't know, they denied SW:TOR to us physically AND digitally. I've opted to buy a key for it and download the whole thing. I wanted mostly to establish a sort of persona on the forums (though I may not actually frequent them, not sure. I'm a pretty introverted guy ) and to ask: is there any other Aussies here?

I'm also 17, and in college, I don't know if there's any age restrictions on joining or whatever, but I hope not.

Anyway I've made this quite an essay hah. Regardless of whether I can join, I love this fandom, and the very prospect of this guild. Thanks to you all!

Well, so far many people have had success ordering these Cd keys. Though I find them slightly suspect (they ARE dodgy looking sites) there's also a lot of positive feedback that they work. So whatevs. Willing to try so I can join you fine fillies and colts.

Another edit: I don't think I can view some parts of the SWTOR website though, and i think you guys have a guild listing there? Thought I better get that out in the open in case I need to submit anything there.

We used to have a guild page there, but it's been taken down by Bioware since the pre-launch stuff has ended. Everything is now being handled by this forum and our main page: http://swtorponies.enjin.com/.
The only thing you need to submit now is a /whisper to one of the manes in-game telling us you want to join.

As the law enforcer of the guild I would also like you to remember to read the rules. They're basically; Be kind to others and don't post porn.

We do have a rather large international group here though, with the US, Canada, the UK, Finland, France, and probably some other countries that will pop in to my head as soon as I post this.

Welcome, Dey! I really hope you can get around that dumb non-Australian thing with the game, and join us. I didn't know that it was restricted from you guys. That is kind of ridiculous. If you do happen to have any questions/concerns, don't hesitate to send me a PM.

Oh, and you really should join us on Mumble. No being introverted! ...even though I kinda am one myself. You don't even need the game yet to enjoy it in there. It's a nice place to hang out.

You should definitely get Mumble, there's someone in there almost 24 hours a day at this point. Also, you should check out our official introductions thread so you can get to know everypony. Even though you've already introduced yourself here, I suggest that you make a post in there as well so other new members will see it when they join.

Hesitant to start new thread, so - I just finished downloading my 20 or so gigs of SW:TOR, log in, make a happy little trooper, start the spawn stuff, look at the chat and see the downtime announcement. :\

Haha. But anyway, it seems cool so far, and all I went through was a bit of story intro, which was still fun.

It's a bit laggy for me down here in Aus though, but manageable.

When it's back up I'll give someone a /tell (I think it's /tell :3) to join the guild, if that's all good.

EDIT: It seems kinda late (as in, early; 1 AM) when the servers are supposed to be back up...so I might leave off that till tomorrow.

What's your ping like? I'm running at 180ish ms from UK and about 200ish from Europe and so far it does not seem to be a massive problem, my low fps is a problem but new computer will fix that.

I have low fps too, but it's not bad. can probably tweak it anyway.

I didn't get a chance to check ping before it made me logout, but I imagine it will be fine unless I'm in a hugely populated area or someone is using the network at the same time as me here. :p

No in fact the only requirement we have is the willingness to have <MLP Friendship is Magic> underneath your name.
