Also many of the PvP people on our server tend to get their weeklies done on Sat-Sun, 10am-1pm ish PST. Some good fights also happen during the week but Imps tend to leave if they lose more than one battle.

Half of us should level our imps to 50 and go to the other side

IF the imps run away from getting pwned that is

Also I would love for this to be a regular event but at a wee earlier time (like 3 hours earlier) on the other hand it is Friday so it doesn't matter too much even though sometimes I may be emulating Berry Punch rather than Derpy.

In fact I would also suggest a semi-permanent PvP team for Warzones, bearing in mind the stupid 4 people limit.

I do plan on doing an event similar to this, but with warzones, in the near future. I thought that it would be easier to start with Ilum since we only need to organize one big group. As for the time, I didn't want to pick a time too early for all our PST members, since it is on a weekday after all. If this does become a regular thing, I'll try to change around the time and get feedback to find out what works the best for the most people.

Not sure if I'll reach 50 in time for this event, but I am definitely interested in more regular PVP events. I prefer pvp to raiding, so that's probably what I'll spend most of my endgame time doing. So if there's a regular PST-friendly pvp recurring event that would be awesome.

Change of plans, I'm going home for the weekend so dunno about what I'll be doing and what my connection will be like because I have had issues with it last time. If I don't show, know that I am there in spirit.

8 V 8 Pony Huttball must happen

Well considering we only had 2 groups and never got into the same warzone, the event sort of failed after two or three warzones since about one or two members went raiding and the rest logged off.
As far warzones went it was really too random, one team had no problems winning warzones (shit opposition, or even lack of players) whereas the other group did not win a single one.
Unfortunately, there isn't much we could have really done, we did queue at the same time but it was to no avail. Until some way of getting a whole 8 person group into PvP is made there is little difference between having warzone groups on ad hoc basis or at set times.

With the changes coming to Ilum, the only way that PvP events seem viable would be to get in touch with an Imperial guild and set up battles on Ilum.

Or train up some 50s on Star Ponies and just have PonyvPony.

Well, I know we have some 50s in Star Ponies right now, and my Sorcerer just hit 40 today. Taco has convinced me to PvP a lot more than I ever would (i.e. never). Lately, all I seem to get is Huttball though...I much prefer Alderaan. Voidstar is...meh. Either way. Attacking seems to be easier than defending.

With the upcoming 1.2 patch (April) there will be the possibility of queueing 8 people for a RANKED warzone only. In the future, there will be mechanics to create permanent PvP groups.

With that in mind I was wondering if there is an interest in this guild to create a permanent group of at least 8 players who will be willing to PvP both ad hoc and at set times (not at op times, obviously). I personally would be very interested in that and I know there are many other ponies who enjoy PvP very much.

I would suggest that a requirement of valour rank 60 be achieved by the time of 1.2 release by those interested. (However, with enough 60+ others could be 'trained up' pretty fast). This is because in ranked matches we would be likely to face tough opposition.

Mumble would definitely be a requirement since warzones are won through coordination. The use of forums and enjin is also highly encouraged.

There are some other suggestions I have in mind and I am sure others will as well but first I want to see if there is even an interest for this.

That system would make me sad since I do pvp on my sorceress because I wanted to be able to play against everypony =/

I am not sure how that system would prevent you from doing that.

well they might put premades in their own brackets so he wouldn't fight against us unless he can get 8 people to Q with him on the imps side but thats only if they do put premades in their own brackets
