Skill Tree

9% damage to techniques isn't worth it since it barely does damage.
6% damage to double strike compared to force cost reduction of project (+double strike) isn't as good

-Spam "Slow Time" as often as you can, unless it would break a CC
-"Force Breach" can be used as well
-You have an interrupt + 2 stuns ("Spinning Kick" and "Force Stun"). Use them.

-My rotation aside from those is:

"Project" -> "Double Strike" spam till Project can be used again
Repeat until you have 3 stacks of "Harnessed Shadows" and then use "Telekinetic Throw".

-Use Defensive Relics and/or "Deflection" if the healer can't outheal the enemy or if the boss enrages.
-Use "Resilience" when the enemy uses Force or Tech attacks (example: running into Soa's lightning ball)

PVP: I find aoe taunt + Resilience to be a very effective combo since they have the same cd

This is my Tank Spec

I find that in pve Mind over matter is useless the 2 extra seconds on resilience for 1 talent isnt worth it to me because none of the bosses abilities last longer then 2 sec and they are easy to time.

I also didnt put points in Elusiveness because I only use force speed to start a fight (running in) and when I get knocked back which doesnt happen all that offen so the CD resets before I need it again. and the 15 sec on Resilience is useless too as most bosses big abilities take awhile before they use them again.

I moved these 3 extra points into Applied force which for 2 points increases your main attack (double strike) by 6% which will increase your threat gen and total out put by a lot. and the last point I put into expertise because with the gear I have I don't need extra survivability but I find every bit of extra dps helps even if its only 3% to a weak attack (better then 2 extra sec to an ability I rarely have to use)

My rotation is (bosses)
Kinetic Ward (off cooldown, always should be up takes highest priority over everything)
Slow time (off cooldown)
Force breach (off cooldown)
Double strike (until Accelerated Particals procs)
Project (only if you have Accelerated Particals proc)
Spinning Strike (target below 30% health always use when off cooldown)
Telekinetic Throw (only if you have 3 stacks of Harness Shadow)
Deflect (when about 50% health)
Resilience (bit tech/force abilities that can't be avoided)
Battle Readiness (when about 50% health [increases your combat tech heals by 300%])
Force potency (off cooldown when Accelerated Particals proc [extra 50% crit dmg on your next 2 projects])
And remember just because your the tank doesn't mean you should stand in avoidable dmg be nice to your healers!
(note this was built around PVE only)

i missed so much xD.
Totally forgot about "Kinetic Ward", "Battle Readiness" and "Spinning Strike"

I use "Resilience" a lot on random bosses and enemies so that's why I prefer that over the damage boosts.
The reason I didn't include "Force Potency" is because I always forget to use it anyways since it's on F3 =p

It all depends on wether you want that little bit of extra damage and threat or a more useful Resilience

I'm using the same spec as you, Crazy. The rotation is basically the same for everyone with a few odds and ends different for each person.

I'm curious...what companion do you have with you most of the time? For me, it was Qyzen until I got Tharan. I had Zenith with me for a while, too. Iresso was useless as having two tanks wasn't necessary, and Nadia has been good so far.

The main difference (to me) between having Theran and either Zenith or Nadia out is with Theran, I don't have to heal between fights, but they take a little longer. With Zenith or Nadia, it's over in almost no time, but I have to meditate in between most fights. It's kind of a toss up. Theran sort of annoys me, but having him use Holiday to stun enemies is really nice. I've really only had Nadia for a bit (still on Voss), but she's pretty destructive. I had to turn off her Force Eruption, though. I would be busy tanking and she'd just scatter the enemies. :/

I used Tharan all the way until I started doing dailies. Then I went with Nadia.
The reason for that is that I do a lot of heroics and random champions solo thus I need a healer on me.

Compared to Nadia, Zenith is a lot better for single targets. Those single targets however require more often than not a Tharan on you so I find him to be pretty useless.

Iresso and Qyzen should never be used. They have low damage and steal your aggro.
