This company normally does box sets, named it "Vol 1" instead of a theme name, and I hear theme packs don't fare as well down under.

That will cause problems. Not insurmountable ones, though.

Does it play DVDs?

If the answer to both these questions are 'yes' you should be good to go. Unless you have a laptop that forces you to pick one region coding when you play DVD's.

Some DVD burning software can even change region encoding while copying a DVD.
Now I need to look through the massive number of DVD burning softwares I have to figure our which one it was.

The main problem with cartoon dvd releases is they're usually very cheaply done, which means a PAL version will probably just speed up the 24fps base animation to 25fps and play the audio 4% faster to compensate. This is a very jarring effect and will probably wreck the songs. If they're feeling extremely generous perhaps they'll apply a pitch filter to correct it, but it will still be slightly too fast.

If it's a quality release it will just encode the native 24p video and leave it to the player to do the telecining, leaving the audio intact. The only way to be sure though is for someone to just buy it and see.

Hopefully at the very least sales are strong enough to convince Shout! Factory that a volume based release would be profitable.

BTW, if you have a Wii, an SD card, and Twilight Princess, it is possible to have your Wii act as a region free DVD player that can convert PAL to NTSC. Amusingly, the Wii doesn't even have DVD playing capability by default.

Word of warning: I haven't tried it myself.
