Hey all! I was on Facebook and saw that the SWTOR page had a TON of comments about people complaining they couldn't log on to download the Beta client. So, I have been waiting for my email invite. I got it and this was the happiest thing i've ever seen.





Now, the important part. I would like to be able to team up with as many of you as possible this weekend for playing. Maybe we'll be able to knock out a flashpoint or something. Even if we're in the game together, it would be fantastic.

I plan on playing Empire, and I think many others will be as well. At least, according to the poll from another thread.

I'll probably play a Sith Warrior. Probably Human, but i'll see what's what. I'll just name him Doombah for the weekend to make things easier.

Yeah, anyone that signed up for beta got an invite. It's their final stress-test before release.

Well I got the link to download and install the client today. It didn't say anything about the final stress-test on the invite so I thought it might be different.

Instead of playing a bounty hunter, I think I'm going to try out an Imperial Agent this time.

I really want to play a Chiss Imperial Agent once I have my Consular towards endgame content. Or, if I get bored. I don't think i'll play a Sith Warrior once the actual game is released, so that's why i'm going to go for it this weekend. Maybe i'll play him as much towards the Light as I can.

I'll be on all weekend for this test, last time I had plans, but I made sure I didn't have anything to do this weekend. I'll be going Bounty Hunter and I would love to do some flashpoints with my fellow guildmates!

I'm going to start the very minute the Beta starts. 3am EST? I'm there. Does anyone know if it opens at midnight on Thursday/Friday or is there a set time like 9am or something? Either way, I have ALL day Friday until about 10pm. Then I have from when I wake up Saturday until 4:30 or so and i'll be back home from work a little after 10pm. Unfortunately i'm working 12-11 on Sunday, but maybe I can squeeze a few more hours in after that.

I'll probably do the beta as the Imperial Agent. Get a feel for the cover mechanics before Launch, as it's a stress test I'd wager I don't really need to go around trying to break everything?

Well if I could play this weekend I would go IA operative the sniper was cool and I 1 shot a lot of non boss enemies but it took way to long to set up on most fights the group would down stuff before I even got into portable cover thinking smuggler marksman will be the same or close too it

I wish it worked like that, but it doesn't. They are letting people into the beta in three waves, 10am Friday, 10am Saturday, and 10am Sunday. The sooner you RSVP'd the earlier wave you get in. Does this mean some people will get to test less than others? Eyup. Hopefully, you were fast enough to get into the first wave.

As for the class I am playing, Imperial Agent with pure DPS. I am going to be playing Consular mostly as a healer, so might as well play the opposite while I can! I usually find myself stuck in a support role, so DPS will be a nice change of pace for the time.

I'll probably continue playing my Vanguard from the last beta weekend, and maybe level my Consular/Smuggler a bit more.

Continue? I thought your beta characters get wiped.

I'm thinking that the characters from the last beta weekend will still be here for this test.

Now as for which class I'll be playing as, I'm going to check out the Bounty Hunter class. This was the class that I spent the last hour of the beta weekend with to see how far I could go before the servers went down.

In the last beta I was part of (the one from last month), I used three different classes (Jedi Knight, Smuggler, and Bounty Hunter) and so for this weekend I'll concentrate solely on having a single character.

All beta characters stay until the whole beta period has ended. Once the servers go live all beta content will be wiped.

If you already patched the game make sure to open it today, there was a launcher update and patch yesterday I believe.

Also on the launcher it now tells us when the first day starts. For the first string (Friday) of testers it will begin at 10:00 am CST. I accepted it early monday afternoon, so I hope that I am in the first wave.

When I try to reply it tells me the system is down, so it looks like I'll be in the last wave, if at all.

Yea they've been doing a lot of updates to the website. It should probably be up within the hour

If you get a "system is down" message on the launcher try again in an hour or so. It seems to come and go with the high activity and server maintenance.

I think I've decided that my beta character is going to be as short and as fat as possible. Seems like a good choice for an imperial agent. Nobody would expect the fat guy!

Just got an e-mail stating that I can start my beta testing on Friday on 10am. So yay! Shame I gotta work Friday. But I didn't have work today. It's a conspiracy I tell ya'.

Ill be in the same spot man but at least 1 of the items will be for me new computer should be up and running by monday! sadly i wont be able to play the beta this week but building a new comp over the weekend should make up for that
