It's nice to see the 'no autoattack' in action. Basically, just pressing one key to get 'rage' or whatever your class' mechanic is.

One of the new things I haven't heard mentioned, but noticed, was that the colour of the light beam showing lootable corpses changes depending on what loot they have. All of the corpses had a blue light beam, except one... one's beam was green, and I thought, "that must mean there's a green item on the corpse," and sure enough, there was. For people who like to AoE grind, this'll be nice to make sure you don't miss any potentially sellable/usable BoEs.

I saw that as well, however I also got the feeling that it may light up for quest items. Most likely not, but that's my $.02 anyway Razz

Yeah, I can see that happening. And if not, they may go the way of Rift/WAR/other MMOs, and just give you the quest item upon killing the mob.

Fantastic. I'm really glad they chose to do a Sith Warrior as opposed to a class that we'll be playing. We get the idea and get to see how the starting worlds will be without spoiling any of the fun. Very Happy

Just watched that video looks awesome and can't wait for the game but I have 1 question since each class starts on different planets example Smugglers start on Ord Mantell and jedi start on Tython could I as a Smuggler quest with Fluttershy who plans on being a Jedi Consular before we out level our starter areas? Like in WoW you could run to the human starting area if you choose to be a night elf and still quest with friends/guildies.

Each person has to do the starter missions by themselves on their respective worlds, but I think can finish starter quests with other players of the same class I think. I'm not sure about other classes working with each other.

From what the person said in the video, it sounds like the two classes who share a world can help each other with their starting quests(but each needs to finish their own before they can leave the world.) So...

- Jedi Knights/Consulars can quest together
- Troopers/Smuggers can quest together
- Bounty Hunters/Agents can quest together
- Sith Warriors/Inquisitors can quest together

I finally got around to watching the full video and I am definitely excited to start playing. They did state though that armor and weapons degrade so now I'm curious about how repairs and item maintenance will work out. Hopefully it isn't too costly or difficult to do.

I hope that pvp doesn't destroy your armors durability or if it does I hope they reward you for winning with credits to at least repair your equipment. WoW claims that their pvp doesn't destroy your armor but I've repaired my armor did a Warsong gultch and had to repair again but you don't get gold for repairs from WoW's BGs

That's not entirely true. While you're right that PvP does degrade your armour, you don't take 10% durability hits like you do in PvP, but armour does take regular "wear-and-tear" from taking damage. Also, you can just loot a few corpses in a BG, and you'll have more than enough to repair for that match.

On-topic, I can bet that Bioware will borrow WoW's model for repairing: the better the gear is, the more it'll cost to repair. What I'm NOT sure about, though, is if your armour takes durability hit (like WoW's 10%) when you die or not. The rep said that when you choose to use the Medical Probe, it'll cost you some credits for the service. If that were on TOP of an extra 10% durability hit, that'd be a bit extensive, I think.

yea but their tips on the loading screen says "taking damage from other players will not effect your armors durability" when it does or at least it use to. and I'm not sure looting a few bodies covered my repair bills from pvp when I got full t10 after a bg it cost about 2g to repair my armor when each corpse drops like 35 copper to what 5 silver? it was pointless wasting my time on looting bodies when I could do a daily in 2min and get 15g

They also did mention (I think it was at SDCC) that it is possible to play through the entire game using the same weapon if you kept upgrading it. Obviously they must be pretty confident in their repair system if that's the case.

Found another TB video from gamescom. This time it is a good 15m of the Alderaan Warzone, from a LV 14 Vanguard POV. You get to watch an entire match from start to finish and really get a feel for the zone and how it plays.

Enjoy.

Vanguard, you say? That's what I'm going to be! Must watch.

Quite interesting. I'm glad the Trooper(Vanguard in particular) looks so fun to play; it bodes well for me.

Anyone else notice on the scoreboard at the end of the video that both Troopers, Vanguard and Commando, had done the most damage and earned the most commodations? The Jedi Consular also did the most healing it looked like too. I like how visually appealing PvP finally is. Typically, when you watch other people play PvP it is really boring, but this looks like almost anyone could enjoy watching Warzones.

I can't wait to see more experienced players fighting in the battlegrounds. I'm especially curious about interactions with the cover system. There seems to be cover surrounding any point of focus, so I'll probably be playing very objectively.

Was trying to post a vid, but I'm too new for that so you can just youtube search "Ed runs and laughs for 10 minutes".
