Man that like the 2nd time i've edited this post I should gather my thoughts before posting and keep re-editing it

true but just from what was seen in season 1 and the very short description of episode 1 makes it a little confusing but it is still rumored so the description might not even be correct.

I am so stoked right now! A new villain? An adventure story? SEPTEMBER?! I know the date is unconfirmed/subject to change, but if it's anywhere near accurate, I will be one happy brony.

My guess for who or what "Discord" might be, is that he is some sort of being that the elements of harmony were originally designed to defeat. Either that, or it is the evil entity that turned Luna into Nightmare Moon, perhaps even both. I've no clue what the hell happened to the elements of harmony though. I am a little concerned that it sounds like they're rehashing the same fetch quest plot from the pilot, but I trust that they know what they're doing.

By the way, check EqD again AJ, multiple members of the FiM team have confirmed the authenticity of both the title and the synopsis.

This is all rumors. In fact the season 2 will be about Applejack who has to return to Manehattan and get into its stock market in order to save the economy of Equestria.

Every episode will be about her playing the market, moving millions and millions of bits around after having started only with the sticks for Sweet Apple Acres. All corporate meetings, deals being struck and following the market flow in detail while she stays true to her element.

It'll be the best season ever.

As for the first episode... HOLY CELESTIA'S JESUS BABY BATMARE! Another adventure episode, another tie in with the elements of harmony, and another two-parter. Hopefully this means that there's going to be more of a plot to Season 2. Possibly having a mixture of regular episodes and episodes that tie in with a larger plot? Now I think about it, it doesn't seem likely but it'd be really cool.

Never knew that sarcasm was considered to be serious business. Guess I shouldn't talk about how episodes of season two would consist of Twilight Sparkle continuing to learn the magic of friendship, Pinkie Pie being her usual self, Rarity designing fashion, Applejack harvesting apples, Fluttershy fluttering about shyly, Rainbow Dash being best pony, and me getting Rainbow Dash.

I bet you a pile of nothing that I'd get 6 of the 7 correctly.

Back onto the real point of the topic, it does seem that the stakes are set to be higher with the start of season 2. Should be interesting how it turns out, but of course it all comes down to when exactly the new episodes begin.

It seems like a really stupid premise, they used the elements of harmony to defeat the biggest threat (Well Nighmare moon was pretty damn stupid seeing as no sun=Everything dies. Or was her strategy one of "If I can't win then everyone has to lose")... wait what was I talking about?

We'll see in a month...

I have a few theories as to why they need to find the Elements of Harmony again, but I'm going to keep them to myself. Hey, for all I know, they could be somewhat correct, and potentially spoil the episode for everyone else. And that's the last thing I want to do.
