So, this week's update was all about the Consular class!

Definition: 'Love' is making a shot to the knees of a target 120 kilometers away using an Aratech sniper rifle with a tri-light scope. Statement: This definition, I am told, is subject to interpretation. Obviously, love is a matter of odds. Not many meatbags could make such a shot, and fewer would derive love from it. Yet for me, love is knowing your target, putting them in your targeting reticle, and together, achieving a singular purpose, against statistically long odds.

Neato burrito! I think that this is one of the best class videos they've released so far. I'll bet our many consular lovers appreciate it.

I've noticed that someone makes a thread almost every Friday discussing the SWTOR weekly update. Maybe we should have a single topic dedicated to the discussion of those updates, rather than dozens of threads that die after a few days.

They also made a clear point that reviving allies in battle will be important. Good. My only concern is that the class seems to do a lot of figting. Healers gonna heal, dps gonna dps, i say.

Well, you can spec the consular for tank, dps, or healing. I think they were showing a Sage/Telekinetic spec because they had very effective force abilities.

I really hope that I have the option of not using a double bladed lightsaber. I am a HUGE lightsaber enthusiast and while I think double bladed ones are great, I would MUCH rather wield a normal and a short saber in my off hand like I could in KOTOR. I really hope I get to have that option at some point, but if not it's not the end of the world. I suppose it would mark me as a Consular, but who says I want to be known as that on sight. :p People can just hover over me and see my nameplate and it'll tell what class I am. Very Happy

Plus, two sabers are more customizable. I created a character when Episode I came out that had a purple and a yellow lightsaber and he was a total badass. He could use each one by itself, both at the same time or click them together for a double bladed awesomeness show. I want to try and recreate him in game once I get a hold of it.

SO awesome! Extremely awesome, but they did not show enough shadow spec stuff... or any it seemed like.... Confounded ponies...

Yeah, I was hoping to see some Shadow stuff just to satisfy my curiosity, but I loved the epicness of the trailer even if it was fairly uninformative.

Just leave dual wielding for us smugglers. B)

Though I absolutely loved the look on that consular. Sure it was missing the FREAKING AWESOME hat of the basic consular we've seen so far. Dear gog I love that hat. But he looked like a hard rocker. xD
